Join the team!
In order to facilitate doing great science, we aim to recruit individuals from diverse scientific backgrounds who are passionate about what they do. Our goal is to create an environment in which group members can be most effective in their science and training while enjoying daily life in the lab. Science is a team sport, so group members will be encouraged to learn from, teach and collaborate with each other in order to help fulfill their maximum potential.
We are a multidisciplinary lab under the broad umbrella of chemical biology. Depending on their interests, group members can expect to gain experience in synthetic chemistry, mass spectrometry (proteomics, metabolomics), molecular biology, cellular biology, and biochemistry. Mentorship is a top priority of our lab, as such, members should expect to receive the scientific and professional training needed to succeed during their time in the lab and also during the next stages of their careers.
Postdoctoral Associates and Graduate Students
We are looking for individuals with expertise in chemical biology/synthesis, mass spectrometry (proteomics, metabolomics), molecular biology, and/or biochemistry.
If you are interested in a postdoctoral position, please email a cover letter, CV, and contact information for letters of support directly to Chris.
Students interested in obtaining their graduate education at the interface of chemistry and biology are highly encouraged to contact Chris to inquire about lab rotations and the possibility of joining the group. Our group is part of the Department of Chemistry and is affiliated with the Skaggs Graduate School of Chemical and Biological Sciences. Prospective students should apply directly to the The Scripps Research Institute doctoral program.
Undergraduate Students
Prospective undergraduate students interested in internships are encouraged to contact Chris directly. Opportunities for paid summer positions are available through Scripps Education and Training site.
